The Making of Harry Potter – The Goblet of Fire

The Making of Harry Potter – The Goblet of Fire

Warner Bros. Studio Tour London has kindly invited us to discover behind-the-scenes secrets of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire to celebrate their special feature dedicated entirely to the fourth instalment of the magical film series.

Who could ever resist exploring the authentic sets, revealing secrets behind the characters, costumes and props that made the Goblet of Fire so special?

Well if you are a Harry Potter fan, then I would expect a  similar reaction like from my 11-year-old when I revealed we were going back to her favourite Warner Bros. Studio Tour London.

Her happiness was beyond words when I told her she could also bring along two of her friends, who later confirmed I was the coolest mum in the world and that they definitely wanted to be bloggers too!

We loved seeing the Goblet of Fire with Harry Potter’s name popping out! After a nice presentation of the new addition to the Making of Harry Potter, we slowly enjoyed the other parts of the tour.

I love exploring the special effects and the behind-the-scenes secrets. The girls had loads of fun experiencing green screen technology flying a broomstick over London too.

Then Isabelle’s friends were very keen to step into the Forbidden Forest that she has told them about and loved it as much as we did.

Then we enjoyed some yummy hot meals, drinks and Butterbeer in the Backlot Café. I have to say the Butterbeer ice-cream is irresistible!

The tour ends with the absolutely breath-taking miniature scale model of Hogwarts castle. I can never get enough of exploring it bit by bit. What a masterpiece!

We love coming back, as there is so much to see and always something new to explore. Next week we have my friends from the Czech Republic coming over to stay with us. My friend’s daughter is also a huge Harry Potter fan.

Last year we did not book in advance so she was very disappointed. This time we were prepared and she is super excited. Cannot wait for her to start her Happy Potter adventure too.

This July, for the first time, Harry Potter fans will be able to test their Wizarding World knowledge in the Great Hall of Hogwarts. Warner Bros. Studio Tour London is launching a series of Harry Potter quiz nights in the authentic set where Harry, Ron and Hermione sat their O.W.L. exams.

Taking place on 5th, 12th and 19th July, guests to these exclusive quiz nights will begin by exploring the Studio Tour during the current Goblet of Fire feature and enjoying a hot meal, drink and Butterbeer in the Backlot Café. After braving the Forbidden Forest and browsing Diagon Alley, teams will take their seats to face off against fellow Harry Potter fans.

Rounds of questions will test guests on their knowledge of Magical Artefacts, Defence Against the Dark Arts, Potions and Care of Magical Creatures among many others with the chance to win a collection of exclusive Warner Bros. Studio Tour London goodies.

Tickets must be pre-booked – Harry Potter Quiz Nights.

Disclosure: We were provided with free entry tickets to the studios, free meals, drinks and also photographs in return for our honest review.
