Yesterday was not only the last day of October half-term holiday but most importantly the day we were invited to the official press preview of Paddington 2 at VUE Leicester Square in London.
Both my girls were so excited and did not moan for one second to get up a bit earlier after so many lie-ins in previous days!
We were so organised this time that we actually arrived 45 minutes before the movie was about to start, and had plenty of time to enjoy all the Paddington 2 movie activities that were prepared for little ones to enjoy!
The face-painting was so good that even I had some lovely paw prints painted on my face!
Before I let you know the verdict on the much-anticipated sequel to the worldwide hit family film, I have to say that we really loved the first Paddington movie, and I was a bit worried nothing could beat it. How many movies have sequels done, and to be honest were much worse than the originals?
This time we find Paddington happily settled with the Brown family in Windsor Gardens, where he has become a popular member of the community, spreading joy and marmalade wherever he goes.
While searching for the perfect present for his beloved Aunt Lucy’s 100th birthday, Paddington spots a unique pop-up book in Mr Gruber’s antique shop and embarks upon a series of odd jobs to buy it. But when the book is stolen, it’s up to Paddington and the Browns to unmask the thief…
I am not going to reveal much more but can tell you one thing, we absolutely LOVED the movie! Olivia was sucked into the story so much and was so worried Paddington would not escape the troubles…..
At the end of this lovely movie, me and my older one shared a few tears. Isabelle told me a HUGE thank you for taking her along to the press preview and said it was even better than the first one! We all absolutely adore Paddington and guess what is already on their Xmas lists?
Go and watch it with your little ones, one movie that should not be missed by any child and parent!
