Last weekend was all about my big 40 birthday celebrations, but I started partying on Thursday night already as I was invited to the “Orange is the New Black” Season 3 launch party in London #OITNBLondon!
I almost did not make it there as hubby had to stay at work till late, but one of my best friends saved my life and had our two girls so I could party and have a great time. How nice is that? I need to return the favour soon. Isn’t great when we women/mums support and help each other out?
Anyway, after being dropped off at the station and jumping on the first train I realised that as I was rushing when leaving the house I had left my iPhone at home. What a disaster!
I could not remember the address of the place where the event was happening, so I had to come off the train and literally run back home as of course no taxis were around when I needed them!
Half an hour later I was sitting on a train to London again, and was hoping I wouldn’t miss too much of the partying!
Unfortunately my lovely friend Vicki from Honest Mum was not able to make it. Thanks to Instagram and Twitter I knew that one familiar face will be there, Charlotte from Berice Baby, who welcomed me and introduced me to Donna from The London Mum who is almost local to me!
It was a fab night out, lots of lovely cocktails and chatting before we had the privilege to watch the first 2 episodes before being released to public on Friday 12th June, just before my 40th birthday.
From the photos below you can see how much fun this event organised by Netflix was, and can tell you now that the episodes were absolutely superb as expected!
I am not going to reveal what they were about as I really want you to watch them on Netflix, but can say that after watching the first one I cried and saw a few others doing the same!
So if you are wondering what to watch on Netflix this month, the Orange is the New Black season 3 must be on top of your list!
Can you guess who was mixing the music? Yes, it was Jameela Jamil!
