Every year since our first-born daughter Isabelle turned 2 we have been going on a weekend camping trip with our friends from the ante-natal classes. It’s going to be our 9th time this year, and yet again we are worrying about how the weather is going to turn up… as camping in the UK is very unpredictable.
Most of the times we get rain despite camping in late June or July. Once it was so bad we had “a river” going through our tent and had to pack everything wet and leave early.
Every year we complain about how hard it is to plan a camping weekend and how much stuff we have to bring along just for two days. Then someone suggested camping abroad, for a week or so, and make it into a proper holiday!
Camping that’s fit for a king!
More and more I see my social media feeds filling up with glamping and luxury camping, and love the idea. Once you check what sites like Yelloh! Village can offer, you can quickly see that camping can be done in style and be much more enjoyable.
Yelloh! Village was created in June 2000. It is composed of a big network of camp- villages and it became THE luxury outdoor hotels reference in France, Spain and Portugal. It offers a wide range of rental options (mobile homes, furnished tents, cottages, tree cabins, chalets, gypsy caravans etc.). Something for everyone.
Are you nature and history lover? I love the look of the Yelloh! Village Avignon Parc in the heart of Provence, and very close to Avignon and Mont Ventoux. Not only you can enjoy the lovely countryside, but you can also find out about the local heritage and have a relaxing break in an authentic environment.
We are a very active family, so the fact there is a wide range of family activities available ( including pétanque, table tennis and fishing ), is a great plus. I can also imagine my two daughters would love the aquatic park of the campsite, with its heated swimming pool, spa, artificial lagoons and waterslide.
Or how about camping at the Les Tournels village in St Tropez? I can see myself resting on the sunbeds already!
I would love to know what you think about camping abroad. Can you imagine renting a mobile home in the loveliest regions of France, Spain or Portugal?
