A few weeks ago I was very worried. I was dealing with some breast pain for over 2 weeks, something I had never experienced before. As the pain was not going away, and after talking to my hubby I knew I had to see a doctor to make sure everything was fine.
The speed I was seen by a local GP, and then by a specialist at a local breast clinic was surprising. It’s actually really assuring how quickly things can be done.
As the GP assured me I needed to be checked as she could not see anything but just to make sure and get all clear, I should not have been that worried, but I was. I lost my dad to cancer, and the big “C” word was hanging in the air.
Luckily all my results were clear, and soon after all the tests were done my breast stopped hurting. The doctors said it could have been hormonal or even just going through some emotional stressful period.
It was a huge relief. I was lucky, but there are many women out there who are not. They need lots of support from people like me and you, and  people who know how to deal with fighting cancer like Breast Cancer Care.
