I hide my toes (and feet) all the time…. i’m not a big fan of feet… and I don’t look after mine very well (naughty! naughty!) I once had the little fishes nibble my feet and toes and I screamed the whole way through! 🙂 … I did paint my toenails for my most recent holiday though! LOL xx

Generally I don’t hide my toes as I pretty much live in flip-flops and pedicures are my favourite pampering treat. However at the moment my toes are well covered having caught my flip-flop on an uneven paving slab, broken a toe and now have very swollen, black and blue toes

I dont and have never hidden my toes though sometimes their appearance and condition could be a lot better!

After 10 years of having what I thought was a fungal nail (that I couldn’t get rid of) turned out to be too much pressure on the toe nail and it caused them to split. I’ve always hid them because they’re just ugly! Hopefully next year I can wear sandals for the first time ever!

My toes are always embarrassing and woefully neglected. Would love time to paint them and get them pedicures, so they look pretty.

I lost my big toenail in a nasty accident a few years ago and had to hide it away for a long time! Its all better now though and looks as good as new 🙂

My little toe is a little yellow and the nail a little thick, but its nothing to worry about yet, and I don’t consciously hide my toes xx

My toes aren’t too bad usually, a bit dry and with chipped nail polish! Recently at a children’s party I took my shoes off not realising you get to see my white toes and white ankles but very tanned middle part of my foot, thing is it just looked dirty in comparison. I was getting some very odd looks from the other parents!

I hide my feet as I have a large bunion on my left foot

  • Laura Pritchard September 2, 2016 6:54 pm

I hid them on a night out, I was wearing stilettos but my toe nails were all cracked & not painted, and I had dry skin!

Just before going on a girls holiday to Portugal I banged y toe which caused my big toenail to fall off! I had to paint over where the toenail (should have) been and hope nobody noticed while burying my toes in the sand

i’m quite proud of my toes. the horror story was ripping my big toe nail right across the middle. yuk!! grew back though!

  • Samantha Atherton September 6, 2016 4:13 pm

I don’t so much hide my toes as I hide the whole sole of my foot because I was unfortunate enough to catch 3 verrucas when on holiday 10 years ago and even though I had them frozen off they left the skin looking odd. So I’m always burying my feet in the sand or putting my bag on top of them when I’m sunbathing.

  • ADEINNE TONNER September 13, 2016 6:38 pm

I hide my toes all the time even at the beach i wear trainers instead of flip flops so people don’t see my horrible toes

  • Cheron September 13, 2016 8:04 pm

My toes are spoiled from me wearing the incorrect shoes so the poor things are just not pretty enough to show off.

The most ridiculous moment, was when I opened the front door to a friend. I wasn’t wearing socks or shoes, and the door was at just the wrong height, and it lifted my big toenail. Yuck! Rather painful, and my friend was really squeamish, so she was near fainting. So stupid! Okay, so this is more of a yuck story than embarrassing, but it’s what I remembered when I saw you wanted a toe story.

I broke several toes, last winter when coming back from the doctors wearing tight sox and loose boots. My foot slipped on ice, and my foot shot forward onto the inside front of the boots and broke them. I just thought at the time I had stubbed my foot, but when I got home, and took my sox off the toes had gone black and swollen up to fat little sausages and were agony.

I had to “Hide my toes” for several weeks as they were so painful and gross to look at, and I didnt want to take the risk of people coming near them. I was truly feral 🙁

I get very embarrassed about my toes and my feet and unfortunately in the summer my feet sweat a lot and can become smelly. To combat this I use talcum powder.
During a very hot day last summer I was invited over to my bosses house. She had bought a brand new house and wanted to show me around.
Out of courtesy (and without thinking) I removed my shoes before walking around and chatting to her.
When we returned through the house I had left invisible white footprints all over her new carpets throughout!

i hide my toes most of the time apart from when i’m on holiday at a beach. This is because i have a bunion on my left foot and because it sticks out i find it really embarrassing to show it in company of other people as we live in a society which demands perfection at all times. I myself haven’t got use to my bunion foot so hiding my toes is second nature to me!

  • Laura Marshall October 2, 2016 7:58 pm

Last year I had a horrible ingrown toenail so I definitely covered them up then!

I’ve been a waitress for 20 years, I have terrible feet! Both my big toenails bend outwards and look really gross, I only wear open toe shoes with black tights as they embarrass me so much.
