We love festivals and camping, but I understand that it’s not for everyone. If you are after a family festival aimed for 0 – 11-year-olds without the camping bit, I have some great news for you!
There is a BRAND NEW family festival in Dulwich, The Wild Child Festival, this August 17/18/19 2018, launched by a London mum and theatre-maker Hayley Byfield.
Hayley wanted to create a children’s festival in the capital which prioritized arts and culture without being affiliated to big brands or television characters.
Hayley says: “I wanted to bring together all the amazing unique creative workshops, performances and activities for families together in one exciting space. I’ve found that many great activities have actually been developed by parents who have found ways to share their creative talents with their own children and then developed businesses from this in areas like Circus, Music, Technology or arts and crafts. These parents are obviously extremely skilled in engaging children so these activities are the very best you can find. Wild Child Festival is also an opportunity for London families to enjoy the whole outdoor festival experience right here in the capital.”
Circus skills, dance parties, theatre, crafts and kids coding, plus dinosaurs and unicorns – entirely run by small companies, many of whom are run by mums and dads themselves.
Immersive experiences including a Dinosaur Land where you can see baby dinosaurs hatching and a Magical Unicorn Meadow where little ones can have fun and games becoming experts in Unicornology. How cool is that?
“Urban Family Festival in London where creativity runs wild”
