Travel Postcards: Martinhal Cascais, Portugal

Travel Postcards: Martinhal Cascais, Portugal

Being a travel blogger often means also attending to press trips and travel events. This time I was invited to a Martinhal Luxury Family Brand Event at the Martinhal Family Resort in Cascais, Portugal.

It was not my first time to this lovely country. I have visited with both girls before as it has all we love when going on holiday, sun, sea, lovely food, history and people!

As I did not want to take my girls out of school, and also wanted to experience travelling on my own again, I left my two girls and hubby for 3 days and took a TAP Portugal flight to Lisbon.

The Martinhal Cascais resort is about 30mins drive from the Lisbon airport, and was very easy and quick to get to. Soon after my arrival I was taken to my room.

As I took a late night flight, and my mind was buzzing from all the excitement I quickly took some pics of my room before making a mess with my belongings!

So what was the Martinhal Luxury Family Brand Event about? It was a one-day conference featuring a few well-known brands, business owners, bloggers and other influencers from all over the world.

I loved listening to all the very interesting stories and all were very different, but for me the most inspiring was the story of Chitra Stern, the founder of the Martinhal brand.

Chitra Stern

Love the Martinhal motto: @Martinhal, parents have their cappuccino with the foam still on it!

It was great to see how much you can achieve, but to also to hear about the journey for her and her husband to reach their goal/dream of creating family oriented hotel resorts that look after families in the best way you can imagine.

The next day after the conference, I took a guided tour of the resort, and have to say I cannot wait to come back as there really is so much to do!

The kids club looked like something both my girls would really love as well as that way I could spend some time in their lovely spa or gym, and of course walking in the lovely park of the resort or nearby with daddy!

The food was also amazing, lots to choose from and very tasty!

When I saw the gigantic trampoline and all the climbing frames I wished my girls were with me, and felt guilty of not bringing them with me this time.

If you are after all this plus being right on the beach, then you need to see the Martinhal 5 star Beach Resort in Sagres in Algarve. I was drooling over the photos, and hopefully will be exploring that resort with my family soon.

Before heading back home just in time to celebrate Mother’s Day, I was also invited with a few fellow bloggers on a bus tour along the coast back to Lisbon. We were actually on a top deck of a double decker exploring the stunning Portuguese coast.

It was very windy and cold, but I loved it and really think that Portugal is a great family destination and hopefully we will be back for another holiday there soon.

By the way, if you are planning a city break, why not to think about Lisbon? Martinhal also have a family hotel, right in the centre, a superb location and all you need for your little ones too.
