Last weekend we were invited to experience the fun-packed Santa Spectacular programme at Willows Activity Farm in St Albans. This was not our first time, and we love coming back to see what’s new every year since Isabelle was about 3 years old.
This year there was a new 3d sleigh-ride film and an interactive elf show on offer. The new interactive show for Junior Elves gives younger visitors the chance to learn the “elf-abet” and how to tip-toe quietly like an elf so as not to wake sleeping children. Every child who takes part graduates with a certified “elf diploma”!
Both girls loved the new 3D movie.
You can also visit the Elves house and write a letter to Santa. If you do so before 14 December, you will also get a reply back!
Girls love soft toys, and were delighted to create their very own Mischka, the Alaskan malamute, at the Create-A-Cuddle workshop to take home.
As every year, visiting the Santa’s Grotto is the most exciting thing. I was in tears watching my girls lined up in front of Father Xmas and revealing what vegetables they like and how much they were excited about Xmas.
I was a bit surprised to hear neither of them knew what they wanted for Xmas…. as I was hoping for some clues…. but hopefully we will soon find out from their letters to Father Xmas!
After being given a golden key to his magical Toy Shop we spent a little while picking a present for each girl. This year I was trying not to get involved very much and that meant we were out much quicker than in previous years.
Visiting Willows Farm is something we all love and always enjoy as there is so much to do, always something new added, and all included in the entrance price!
Make sure you plan a visit to Willows Farm between now and 24 December to have lots of fabulous Xmas fun and activities with your little ones!
