London Premiere of Barbie Spy Squad

London Premiere of Barbie Spy Squad

Last Saturday saw us visiting the lovely city of London again with my girls. They do love our girly time together and we all were very excited about meeting Barbie at her new movie Barbie Spy Squad premiere.

After arriving at the Odeon cinema in Covent Garden, we joined all the guests and got creative.

There was lots of glitter and glue, which meant that both my girls were in heaven as they love being creative with glitter. Unfortunately I hate having glitter all around our new house, so let them do it but under my control, not like at the event where they went wild!

We also had a nice picture taken with Barbie herself. Both girls are big fans, but especially Olivia loves playing with all our collected Barbie dolls and her gorgeous Malibu House.

To my big surprise she decided she would take only a picture if I was holding her, so here we go, no smile from Olivia, but mummy, Isabelle and Barbie. I will definitely keep this photo and show her once she is older. We had a good laugh with daddy at how grumpy and stubborn our second born daughter can get.

Then it was time to have some face-painting done. This took a bit longer, so I let the girls to do some more creative stuff and play with the new merchandise while queueing.

It did not take long and the door to the screen was open. It was great to see my girls’ and other children’s’ lit up faces and the excitement. Of course there was some popcorn to munch on while watching the movie.

I have seen a few Barbie movies, but honestly really enjoyed this one as there is a lot of action and surprises. Both girls agreed we definitely have to watch it again soon!

We had a great time and if you have a little Barbie fan at home, watch it this half-term holiday as the DVD will be out and available to purchase on 15th Feb 2016!

After watching the movie, we were greeted by loads of Barbie balloons, and the girls were very happy to be taking a few back home (on a packed train!) too. This was not my highlight, but hey, what wouldn’t you do for your children?

Barbie Spy Squad

Barbie and her best friends Teresa and Renee transform from hard-working gymnasts to undercover secret agents in this exciting, action-packed adventure!

When their amazing gymnastics skills catch the eye of a top-secret spy agency, the girls are soon following clues to a gem-stealing cat burglar who has escaped everyone on the case.

With their high-tech gadgets, glam disguises and cute robo-pets, can they prove that smarts and teamwork can get the mission accomplished?

It’s girl power to the rescue!
