Willows Farm Village ‘hops to it’ to make Easter Eggstravaganza its best yet!

Preparations for a host of “egg-citing” Easter activities are well underway at Willows Farm Village, near St Albans, Hertfordshire.
There will be an array of specially themed activities for visitors to enjoy at the award-winning leisure attraction during its Easter Eggstravaganza, running from Saturday 23rd March 2013 until Sunday 14th April.

Farmer at Willows, Andrew Wolfe said: “We’ve definitely got Easter cracked. In addition to the farmyard animals and acres of indoor and outdoor play that make up our usual action-packed offering, we’ve put on a series of specially themed activities to make Easter 2013“egg-ceptional”. A lot of work and preparation goes into delivering the perfect family Easter, and that’s no “yolk”!”

As the event draws closer, Willows is working hard to ensure one of the highlights of its Easter programme – the Easter Egg Hunt – in the stunning Easter Garden is ready. Children will be able to hunt among the flowers, wheelbarrows and bales of hay in the specially decorated garden, excitedly finding the hidden Easter eggs and earning themselves a chocolate treat. It’s chocs-away at Captain Chicken’s Egg Dodge as Willows makes sure its ‘egg canons’ are ready for feather-brained fun! This specially designed indoor play area will see hundreds of children ‘scrambling’ around over the Easter break, ducking and diving to avoid the foam ‘eggs’ fired by the opposing team.

After much rehearsal for her big performance of the Bunny Hop routine, the Easter Bunny is looking forward to showing off her twinkle toes and to the children joining in and shaking their bunny tails too. The team are also busy hiding a series of bunny ‘cut outs’ around the Farm Village in preparation for the Willows Bunny Hunt. A firm family favourite, visiting children will be challenged to find all 10 of the concealed ‘bunnies’ as they make their way around the attraction to win a choccy treat.

Obviously, Easter wouldn’t be complete without real fluffy bunnies and chirping chicks and Willows has this covered too! Farmyard Favourites will play host to a group of cotton-tailed and feathered friends throughout Easter Eggstravaganza.

But the ‘choc-o-bloc’ programme doesn’t end there. For those who aren’t “eggs-hausted” by all the Easter fun, there’s also inflatables, Tristan the Runaway Tractor, Fun Fair Rides, the JCB Young Drivers Zone and acres of adventure play.
