Illumination, who brought audiences Despicable Me and the biggest animated hits of 2013 and 2015, Despicable Me 2 and Minions, continues the adventures of Gru, Lucy, their adorable daughters—Margo, Edith and Agnes—and the Minions in Despicable Me 3.
Directed by Pierre Coffin and Kyle Balda, co-directed by Eric Guillon and written by Cinco Paul & Ken Daurio, the animated film is produced by Illumination’s Chris Meledandri and Janet Healy, and executive produced by Chris Renaud.
Joining Steve Carell and Kristen Wiig in Despicable Me 3 is Emmy, Tony and Grammy Award winner Trey Parker, co-creator of Comedy Central’s global phenomenon South Park and the Broadway smash The Book of Mormon.
Parker voices the role of villain Balthazar Bratt, a former child star who’s grown up to become obsessed with the character he played in the ‘80s, and proves to be Gru’s most formidable nemesis to date. The film will be released in theaters on 30 June 2017.

On Sunday morning we gladly gave up our lie-in to attending Despicable me 3 movie special screening at Leicester Square in London. Girls were beyond excited, and the train journey went super fast.
After arriving at Leicester Square we had our picture taken with the Minions and then entered the ODEON cinema and enjoyed some great activities for kids.
I was a bit worried that the movie will not meet my very high expectations. You know the types of movies when people love one, so then there is another one made, and then another one but not as good as the first one out?
Well, I am happy to say that this movie is definitely not one of the failures. It actually was fantastic and we laughed so much! My girls also loved it, and I enjoyed watching their lit up faces while watching this truly unmissable movie not only for kids but for adults, basically the whole family for sure!
And I cannot forget to mention the amazing soundtrack, full of 80s great music including my favourite Madonna’s “Into The Groove,” Nena’s “99 Luftballons,” and a-ha’s “Take On Me.” I am definitely buying this soundtrack and cannot wait to sing along to it in my car with my girls!
Go and watch it with your little ones, a must see movie this summer!
