Hertfordshire is undoubtedly a stunning part of England, and we are very lucky to be living here. When we decided to leave sunny Sydney years back, I knew that living in the centre of London would not be for me. I loved the area where my husband grew up and wanted to be raising our children there too.
Fast forward 11 years, and we are here, living in our lovely house surrounded by beautiful nature. When I turned 40, just over 3 years ago, my husband knew exactly how to treat me.
The morning started with an early morning wake-up, breakfast in bed and a large envelope. I have to admit I was planning a little sleep-in at least on my bday, but who could resist the excited faces of my two daughters and my hubby looking after me?
Soon I found out the reason for the early start. My amazing husband booked me and two of my very good friends a spa day at the Champneys Tring.
That’s when I fell in love with this place, and have been back a few times since then. One of my wishes for this year’s bday was to spend my actual bday with my husband at Champneys Tring, and we had a great time.
Then my lovely friend Vicki from Honestmum was invited to the Champneys NEW Skincare breakfast launch and asked me to join her.
We were offered an overnight stay to make the most of the visit. I shared an amazing room with my friend. We had such a great time relaxing and enjoying the spa facilities.
As the weather was great, we spent most of it outside in the gardens, and in a jacuzzi, but we also had a little dip in their indoor pool to cool down.
Anyway, the reason for our visit was indeed to get pampered but also to be present at the vegan breakfast talk and presentation by Liz Chamberlayne who developed Champneys new skincare range.
I really enjoyed listening to Liz about the reasons for developing her vegan skin range for Champneys and comparing to some high street products.
The facial demonstration of essential skin routines every woman should do was also great. I really need to make more effort, there are no excuses!

After a lovely morning with fellow bloggers, journalists, stylists and online influencers I was treated to a 50 minute Champneys facial in the spa. That was such a lovely ending to my spa stay. Then I had to rush off to support my older daughter at the sports day, back to reality… Cannot wait to be back soon!
We as mums always look after someone. make sure you also save some time to pamper yourself and staying at Champneys is undoubtedly one of my favourite ways to relax. Why don’t you book a spa day with your hubby too?
