Our summer holiday would not be the same without visiting our favourite local Willows Activity Farm near St Albans. It’s always a pleasure to be invited to review this family friendly place. Last year we went with a few of my daughters’ friends and I let the girls get lost in the a-maize-ing maze. What an experience!
They actually did get lost and it took me quite a while to navigate them to the nearest exit. We could hear each other, but could not get to each other. At the end girls found the emergency exit (thanks God there are quite a few of them), and we were reunited!
That has taught me a lesson, and this time I did not let them wonder on their own, but was within a metre of them. They took turns and loved collecting all 8 characters’ numbers they needed to complete an activity and get their prize!
We also spent quite a while at the new Peter Rabbit playground, bouncy castle/slides and trampolines. The farm was busy but as there is so much to do, we did not have to queue at all.
There is still a few days left to experience this lovely maze, but if you miss this year, remember for the next summer. Right now we are getting excited about their upcoming Potato Shindig.
Visitors will be able to dig up their own bag of potatoes to take home, as well as take part in lots of potato-themed arts and crafts at the farm. With a huge range of activities in the 500 acres of land, children can also meet the stars of CBeebies PETER RABBIT™, and enjoy enough rides, live shows and animal encounters at an all-inclusive price.
The all-weather attraction at an all-inclusive price is a perfect family day out with indoor and outdoor activities for the whole family. The PETER RABBIT™ Adventure Playground is always a hit with younger visitors along with Tristan the Runaway Tractor, fairground rides and the PETER RABBIT™ woodland play trail. Undercover fun includes Cotton-tail Village, the Farmyard and Woolly Jumpers soft play area.
